Owl craft

Last night I worked on making a completely handmade felt, plushy owl for a couple of hours. I wanted it to look roughly stitched and imperfect. It's my first project of that sort. I'm happy with how it turned out.

I'll definitely be making more stuff. It was really enjoyable. 

Jewelry and Sunshine

I've been spending some time making jewelry recently.

It's a lot of fun, especially when the results are lovely. I like making things work together. I had collected quite a lot of beautiful rocks and seashells at Topsail Island, so I'm hoping to incorporate them into my work as well.

Today was very sunny and not too cold. It almost felt like Spring and I took advantage of it to the fullest. Took a nice walk in the sunshine with Moya, ran a few errands, and found time to go to the library.

Lemon Candle

Last night we made a candle using a lemon & extra virgin olive oil.

We cut the top off of the lemon. The part of of the lemon that was left over we hulled out until there was a piece left in the middle that resembled a wick. Poured the oil in & lit the wick. The top peel that was left  we cut a hole in, & placed back on top of the lemon.

Smelled great!
